“Wait, what the heck? — anyone who kidnaps my attention as you just have, well, by golly, there ought to be a law!” Or, man, I just spent the last hour or so deep diving based on ideas refracted here.

The Wirecard bit was straight Bond-style, Ernst Stavros-Blofeld as the villain, SMERSH as the shadowy agency with tentacles everywhere — the guy literally “escapes” to Minsk, as if there is still Wall, or a Soviet Union.

Really though? As we seem to court state failure, as myself and my friends casually discuss how to defend, provide electrical power to and otherwise protect our cohort from real or imagined threats, it’s sobering to realize what we call safety rests in the hands of the few and the unreliable.
