What an excellent introduction to Musashi this article is. Like many, I’ve heard about the Book of Five Rings.

I never reached for it to read though. That changed tonight. Amazon should have my copy here (in San Francisco) in a day or two.

Aside from the choice of the axioms you limned, it was describing the challenges he had to overcome that clicked for me. I could almost feel mirror neurons repatterning (sic) as I imagined myself making better decisions.

Sharing ideas that matter in those minutes between sleep, work, recovery and leisure. That’s the important spot in life. For once, I’m happy to have spent some of my minutes here.
