I second this emotion. My family is from Guyana but I was born here. Whenever I'd come home from school and complain about something they would say, "You want safe? Move to Canada." Later I'd go on tour there and it is wonderful.

Our band, Broun Fellinis (sic) had to pay taxes on what we'd earn for shows at the border. So we do and think nothing of it. A few days into the tour, my soundman slices his hand right open. We take him to the hospital, they are fixing him up. He tells me about his toothache that's acting up.

A nurse hears him, says wait a minute -- talks to someone in another room. Darned if they didn't fix his tooth as well. Canada. For the win.
