Fear crushes my dreams.

This truth makes me laugh because I love Dune. The sci-fi novel by Frank Herbert gave my friends and me a reason to live in that time when puberty has its way with you.

It is now an already classic film version of the book for which the studio has committed to doing a sequel.

Among the many great reasons you should have reread Dune before seeing the film is the Litany Against Fear:

“I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone, there will be nothing.

Only I will remain.”

Fear of being inept was my biggest fear.

It’s one thing to edit the work of others, and you can be great at listening to what someone else wants to achieve yet lack the courage to put yourself out for the world to see.

My results vary:

a. Temporary starts that fail because of shame.
b. The Great Forgetting, wherein you try to try again.
c. Wasted time piles up like…
