Elon Musk Scores Twitter

This is about politics

Twitter said yes to Elon Musk's tender offer to buy the company.

Musk is taking it private

The way it was going, Twitter would not have stopped ejecting people because of what they said.

Musk’s purchase felt the way it must have when Rupert Murdoch repurchased the New York Post in the 1970s.

Murdoch took the New York Post and made it different. He would do the same for the Wall Street Journal in the 21st century.

Musk is a libertarian. That has to be better than whatever has been the case on Twitter of late. What a win for capitalism as well.

We were all apprehensive about Twitter’s future course. And now some of us aren’t. Others of us are. But it changed, and isn’t that something? Misinformation is a new term.

It did not use to exist. Some things were true, some were false, and some were unverified. Now we need protection from Twitter staff.

There was no such thing as information forbidden by other people from being published. Stuff was in flaky locations, but it was there.

Misinformation is something that someone somewhere on Twitter decides. That is new, and it needs to stop.
